The civilians who believed in their city to the end, and the military who fearlessly defended it.

Doctors, police officers, utility workers, each of whom did their best in their place. Through indescribable pain, these people returned in their minds to the terrible past to present the indisputable facts of the cynical destruction of the city of Mariupol by the russian army.

They admit that now, two years later, not a single memory has faded from their minds. But all the memories together have turned into a continuous nightmare. The spring of 2022 will forever be associated with the pain and hell of the war in which they were forced to survive. The Russian occupiers fired thousands of shells and bombs at Mariupol and its residents, burying the Mariupol dream under the rubble. 

Mariupol residents shared their stories of survival. In dozens of hours of dictaphone recordings and photos from personal archives: burnt houses, children in basements, bonfires in yards, dirty snow that became drinking water, dead people under blankets on the frozen ground, the Drama Theatre and Maternity Hospital No. 3, endless convoys of hope....
