Mariupol is the first Ukrainian city in the Donetsk region to face Russian aggression.

It is the only city in Ukraine that was surrounded and destroyed in the blockade along with the civilian population. With air bombs, hail, rockets - from the ground, from the sky, from the sea. In the closed city, the occupiers created a humanitarian crisis, leaving people without drinking water, food and medicine, electricity, heating and communication.
